driving
remember that the weight balance is these cars is pretty close to 50-50..under braking the weight is transferred forward unloading the rear tires...you guessed it, the thing wants to end around on you....when it gets loose the way to get the car back under you is with the accellerator...not the brake....learned this from a good driver of Cobras and it comes in handy when the occassion arises...just remember you have to "load" the rear tires.
There is a term for this that someone will add to this thread...
something like " rear trail braking understeer"...someone please correct????

Awesome ride! Love the color. Welcome to both the CC family, and the Unique Family (as well as the little known FIA Brotherhood)!

Congrats on your new Cobra! It looks really nice. I especially like the fact that the roll bar brace does not come into the cockpit and in between the front seats as was "typical" for the 289 FIA. Your roll bar seems modeled after the 427 rear brace.
Have fun and check everything out underneath before you test its metal.

If you will accept congratulations form this side of the Atlantic, then you have mine. What a sweet looking car.

Congrats on the car. Have someone take a pic of your face after you drive it!! Having gotten a ride in GeorgiaSnake's Unique 289 with a stroker motor by the same builder...you are in for a real treat!! Your seat of the pants will scream big block. LOVE the blue as well.
