need the right size seat?
i am trying to find out if anyone has had a problem with fitting
in there cobra.i am 6"4 and does anyone know of a bolt in seat that would help? dave |
Might I suggest looking into the CLASSIC ROADSTERS COBRA. The frame design has the floor between the inboard and outboard frame rails so the seat can be placed lower in the frame. In addition I lowered the floor on mine an additional 2 1/4". I'm only 6'2" tall but I didn't want to be looking over the top of the windshield. The CR also has a longer wheelbase which provides a little more leg room.

The Hunter car drops the floor and also makes a 96 inch car that will help you. My son is 6 Ft 6 and he can fit in our Demo car with no problem. My father went for the Hunter because he is 6 ft 2 and could not get in and out of the standard Cobra with out all kinds of moving around. Plus when he got in his knees would be up next to the steering wheel. A bit hard to drive.

Bruce- just got done with a 300-mile round trip to Fort Worth to drive two BDR Cobras. Awesome. Scary. Holy S***, Batman! I left a deposit check.
I am 6'1", and in every car I have ever driven, I automatically slide the seat back as far as it will go. In the BDR... I had to slide the seat FORWARD about an inch to get full depression on the clutch. I may be slightly prejudiced, BDR #139 is MINE. UT |
Enjoy!
