LS427 Body

Does any one know how accurate the Lone Star body is?

CHRIS POTTER 03-08-2004 04:30 PM

It's not accurate. The wheelbase is 94" as opposed to 90" on the originals, also, the dash is incorrect. There may be other differences, but those 2 are the most noticeable. That being said, I have a Lone Star, and am very happy with it. I am aware of the lack of accuracy, and have customized my car to suit my tastes beyond what Lone Star supplies. My wheels are even incorrect, but I like them. I'm sure others on CC can expand on what I've said.

Most of the stretch is in the middle of the doors so it's not as noticable as some vendors. Strong body too. They put a trunk lid on the ground and let me stand on it and bounce a little. ( I weigh in at about 230 lbs. There was no damage to it.

accuracy/original dimensions

LwCwb,
There are only about three current manufacturers that produce dimensionally and detail correct bodies, and 30 plus that do not.
The first and most obvious are the hinges as a giveaway.
