Lunch at Hudsons, Ventura Ca moving updated 3/17/04
Tri-Country Cobras Lunch at Hudsons will be moving again - AARRRGGGHHHHH.
As some attendees know, the manager gave me some grief last time. HIM:YOU CAN'T DO THIS ME: CAN'T DO WHAT? HIM: THIS ME: WHAT? HIM: THIS ME: WE JUST CAME HERE FOR LUNCH HIM: YOU CAN'T DO THIS ME: TALK TO THE OWNER The mall owners will not allow us to have our gatherings there. They want special insurance, event permits from the mall and permits from the City ??. As I gather, we could go there and have lunch however, as soon as we open a hood, its a event - go figure. Hudsons is not happy but nothing much they can do so I am on the hunt for another spot. The insurance is in case someone falls while they are lookin at the cars, they will be covered. I keep trying to tell them its not a club, no officers, no dues, just a bunch of friends getting together for lunch - no go. The next date is April 3 so I'm going to be busy next weekend. Have one spot possible at least temporary - make sure you keep your emails up to date with me UPDATE: WE ARE IN ) :) :) :) Hudsons called me as they got a NEW mall manager. No reason we can't come just as long as we don't block off the parking lot. Suggested we have some come early like 10:00am. What if we didn't open the hoods??? I changed my airline reservations to attend... Do you need any help finding another place??? I've got some ideas... Call me tonite before I celebrate St. Paddy's day... We're having a traditional Irish 7 course meal.... A 6-pack & a baked potatoe... O'spotter:cool: |

I cannot believe that manager is so stupid to turn away our business. I guess Hudson's will go the same way as the Hudson... Isn't there a Chuy's in Ventura? That would be a nice open-air, relaxed place for a gathering. Good food, too. Is there any way you can make it some other day besides the first Saturday in a month? I run the First Friday Night Rally every month and it's hard to get out of bed early, get the car cleaned up and over to the Cobra meet, the morning after. Paul |
