Two big skid marks from the rear is certainly more indicative of a trans lockup than a suspension failure. All though trans could have led to a suspension problem.
Unlikely suspension alone would result in BOTH back wheels locking up. While possible, not probable.
Cam back aerodynamics might have indeed been a problem, but again, those two black marks from the rear clearly testify to a "lock up" condition of some kind.
