RaceDeck...congrats on getting your car together...looks great.

I am still awaiting the complete exhaust and radiator (back ordered for weeks now) from Kirkham.... and I'm looking for solutions.

With any luck, I'll get mine out of the shop and on the road....

Have you tried to call them? You may be able to have their supplier(s) expedite your parts ahead of their inventory shipment? But after driving mine, I can tell you that it will be worth the wait!:D

Steve K. and I have been on the phone for the last couple of weeks...it's not a question of us not talking or him not being aware of the issue. Guess it hasn't been that long....we thought the parts were to be shipped from UT on Mon 3/15/2004...really weren't there yet for shipping.

After seeing you're on the road...it's just driving me nuts....waiting isn't one of my strengths...:) Now with the prospect of installing the engine this coming week.....

I know that when it's all done...all will be well....I do know that the car and their work on it is just breath taking....no words can properly describe their workmanship.:p

Jorgen, Bill,

Many thanks for all the kind words. Jorgen really had a nice car when it FINALLY got finished. Jorgen purchased his car before the "Special" we ran at the beginning of the year. (That is why he got side pipes as we of course had to hold them back because he had purchased his car so much earlier.)

Many thanks to Jorgen; he is a great customer. (We sold his car twice while he was waiting for his engine. He approved--of course. I remember when Jorgen came in he just looked at the option list and said..."I want them all--I hate looking for parts." So, he got EVERYTHING we could find and lots of spare "thingys" floating around the shop. I guess being a few miles away has its advantages.

His mechanics installed the driveline in record time. After the monster was installed, he brought it back to make sure everything was installed correctly, we gave it a final few tweaks and it was on the road. It is a really nice car.

Side pipes are coming soon...I will call the vendor again. I guess one day we will break down and get a mandrel bender and make them ourselves. I hate having to rely on other vendors.

As a side note, we are REALLY happy with the Race Deck flooring. It has made our shop look so much better. We drive forklifts, cars, dollys, jacks, and about everything else you can think of on it and we are happy with it.

David

The Skies cleared on Sunday and I got to put about 100 or so miles under my belt...I am still grining:D I also managed to get pulled over, but the he said if I lifted the hood he would not write a ticket for changing lanes without a signal ( I was the only one on the road):)

Thanks for rechecking about the pipes David...I feel more and more like that little kid the night before the birthday waiting to open the presents.

I'm driving my wife and sons crazy reviewing the great pictures from the website...not to mention the shop owner where the car is located....:D

One thing I have learned...it's impossible to take a bad picture of the car....:3DSMILE:
