Can you post a picture? ...and are you putting it in the standard Tremec location? Jim |
the Jordan shifter is GREAT....you can either mount it on the inside or outside of the short lever coming up from the transmission, whichever fits your hand/misses knee the most. easy install, remove 4 screws from rubber boot chrome ring and two bolts where current shifter is attached.. reverse process with new shifter and done deal. voila. bill.

Yes, I really like the shorter shifter, particularly on fast shifts, and it doesn't cut you if you grab it wrong (no comments, please...)
But, it's not "traditional", and I know some folks keep the old shifter for shows and such. |
Jim, here's a comparison pic of the stock vs. Jordan:
http://www.secondstrike.com/SecondSt...danShifter.jpg The stock SPF shifter has the true look and feel of the original, but the reverse lockout "tangs" are for show only and do not function. Plus, they have a tendency to dig into your palm on aggressive shifts. The moment I sat in an SPF with the Jordan shifter was the moment I knew I had to have one. |
Not only are the shifts faster and smoother but they are more precise with the Jordon shifter. You can also use any part of the handle and any part of your hand for shifting. I recommend it for everyone.

I highly recommend this mod to SPF owners and anyone else that is willing to deviate from the "stock / period correct" look. |
Red,
Who sells the Jordan? |
Go here......
http://www.secondstrike.com/SecondSt...trikeStore.htm Click on the link for Jordan Shifter under "Products". There is also an order form. Total turnaround time was about 3 weeks. |
Thanks, Red
