Happy Easter!
Happy Easter Everyone,
I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Easter. My wife and I recently saw the movie "The Passion of the Christ" and from now on Good Friday and Easter will take on a whole new perspective. I have been a Christian for 28 years but not until I saw that movie did I really realize what Jesus went through during the last few days of his life here on earth. I will still hide Easter Eggs for my daughter and fix her Easter basket, I will just view and appreciate Easter in a whole new light from now on. Have a great day! Scott |
Amen to that brother! Oh by the way does anyone know where and when this Easter Bunny thing started and why? I've never understood what chocolat eggs and jelly beans had to do with
Christ's crucifiction??? |
Yes, I hope "The Passion" has really opened people's eyes as to the real meaning of EASTER!
:D HE HAS RISEN!! :D Terry |
Easter,,,, firmly rooted in the paganistic beliefs of centuries ago. The rabbit being the symbol of fertility.
And that don't bother me one bit. I recognize easter for what it's come to be known by "christians" in spite of it's 'origins'. You can trace back many of our Holidays to "paganism". I say that was then, this is now. Xmas being another example and where the Xmas tree originated would be eye opening. I'll pass on the movie and hope that others found it enlightening. I understand the "plot", and thats enough for me to pay my respect. Ernie |
My oldest is starting to understand what it means-my youngest likes the candy in the basket(she's not quite 3). Either way we are saved, and thankful.
I hope people understand more of His sacrifice after viewing the movie. I'm still waiting for Mel to bring out the next few chapters! God bless ya'll on this glorius day. |
HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE. :3DSMILE:
MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS ON THIS GLORIOUS DAY AND EVERYDAY. :3DSMILE: |
Us Christians are forgiven, not perfect.
Kinda like when the state trooper gives you a warning instead of a citation for breaking traction, speed contest, exceeding the speed limit, driving down the wrong side of the road, and reckless driving. I have heard that "God watches out for fools and idiots..." That means I have double coverage. UT |

Over here we have seen a lot of discussion on Mel Gibson's "Passion of Christ". Guess its the Aussie thing about tall poppies - ready to cut them down!!! Some movie critics feel this movie will be a flop, whilst others fear that Gibson's dollar investment is not a good one. Will this be a movie that will see people go out of curiosity? Out of religious understanding? Or just plain entertainment value?. I have been told that it is very very graphic. Cheers Bernie |
