What happened...I thought for sure you were going black.

blykins 04-13-2004 01:39 PM

I don't know....sometimes I just see a picture that really catches my eye, and I have to see what color it is.....I do like black a lot though....hehehe

It's Lynn Parks' car....I bet Ron will know what color it is.

blykins 04-13-2004 01:42 PM

The picture can be deceiving as printing varies, but it looks very close to

FER307

Yes, that is a Ferrari color. I have used it many times and everyone loves it.

That is a Glasurit number by the way.

David:) :) :)

You sure the Ferrari color is that dark, David?

...very good call on ID'ing it as Lynn's CSX3156.

The photo on the link, with CS at the wheel, looks like it has been "photoshop'd" and really shouldn't be used as a color chip.

The real deal is a 'softer' red...

D. Kirkham or anyone who knows,

Do you have any pictures of the cars painted with the FER307? Is there a cross reference # for that paint from PPG? Lastly, does anyone know which Ferrari models came with this paint? I'm done - have a great day!

David Kirkham 04-14-2004 07:04 AM

You can go to our website and the red cars were painted that color.

I think the color is close to the Ferrari number, but you, of course, can never be sure. I just know I like the color.

Ferrari even has a darker red than 307. I think it is 305. Another really cool red.

The original red is quite washed out and orange. I don't like it at all. Believe it or not, Ford truck red and Chevy truck red are really nice colors.

David:) :) :)

Also check the red BMW uses occasionally only on M-cars. They call it Imola Red.
