Another ebay scam?
How about a Shell Valley for $8499? Preapproved bidders only...%/ Hmmmm........

Hard to say. They have a listed address in South Carolina and a phone number listed. I would suggest anyone that has interest to send a local appraiser to view the car and its title.

Steve....you're kidding right? Total scam.....feedback on a number of items for the seller listed in English Pound Sterling.......another stolen e-bay account.

Clay - I agree with you, but...I think the biggest concern is they are getting just a touch too credible in their description - A Shell Valley (not an "original AC" etc) - and like Steve's point - an SC address and phone # - at a glance this does seem potentially credible, and with a 'buy it now' price that is within reach for many.
Funny though, a single bid for $8k.... I have "asked the seller for preapproval". I'll let you know what it costs when I get the reply....;) |

Many of the other ads have had phone numbers listed in TX, NY, CA, and many others. But, I agree they are getting better in some ways. However, the scammer in this case, just stole the ad, which happened to be for a Shell Valley from another site, where it probably was legitimately for sale at some point. One of the best ways to spot them is to read so-called seller's feedback to see what he/she usually sells. This guy has been trading in English Pounds and sells models. But, my favorite was the guy who was apparently fabulously successful selling Green Bay Packer bobbleheads and other Packer paraphenalia.....just the type of person you'd expect to be selling a Cobra, huh. BTW, it's been reported to e-bay. |

I wonder if Ebay will ever post the actual cases where people transferred money and lost it to one of these scams. |
At least e-bay is getting quicker....only took them 30 minutes to remove it this time after report.
