Mr Clean Car Cleaning System

Purchased the Mr Clean Car Cleaning System today after reading about it at audiworld.com. It is a water filter and soap system that really does a great job of cleaning your car. Lots of guys claim to wash black cars in the sun with this sytem without a waterspot. I was amased with how black my wash mit was.

Anyone else try this?

I see the commercials all the time on Spike , Speed, and ESPN2 (are there any other channels?). I've thought about it. I take it from your post that the product does indeed deliver on it's promise (no drying and no spots)?

I worked in the chemical business for many years, especially with detergents, sanitizing, and rinsing agents, and I never saw any kind of filter that would remove hardness, or the things that would cause spots after drying. There are chemicals that can be added to detergents, or preferably rinse water, to eliminate most spotting. Therefore, I believe that their claim that the filter eliminates spots is bogus. There are other car wash compounds that dry mostly spot free without the "kit" that Mr. Clean wants to sell you. Why not just try their detergent in a bucket and see if it dries spot free by itself? I'll bet it does.

i washed both of our cars with the mr clean system and it does indeed work. I couldn't believe it either but it did quite a nice job. Your wash mit does get black though.

I tried it a few weeks ago, and thought it worked well. I didn't let the car air dry though....I went ahead and dried it as normal, but it was much easier, and any little left over dribbles did indeed evaporate without leaving a spot. I also give a lot of credit to the multiple layers of Zaino!:3DSMILE:

Also, I used the hose right from my well, which normally I don't do....cuz it spots horribly. I thought I'd bypass the softened water to purposely test the Mr. Clean system, and I must say, it impressed me. To keep straight well water from spotting is really something. I washed two cars back to back, and the filter wasn't "brown" yet, so their claim of getting three washes from the first filter must be legit also.

So, I think I have a new way to wash cars now. I'll prolly continue to still dry them manually, just because it seems "better" to me. But I like the fact that it dries easier, and doesn't leave that grungy film behind.....and, I can save the softened water for the house!

I washed my car yesterday in direct sunlight with 20 mph winds - not a spot on it and I did not dry it. Not only that but the car seems to look better than it normally does after a quick wash.

I works!
