After watching the rerun of the "Rides" show on 'Daisy', I was convinced that they should have wrapped J Mays in modelling clay and shipped him out on a long mission to find the lost missing 'period' after his first initial.... anything to get him off the project.
:p

Do you think we actually did that?.... Did they read the thread, or is it just coincidence?

Just real glad they came to their senses !!

Now it'll probably look like a stylized "Focus/Boxster" in it's next incarnation, probably have a folding hardtop also:rolleyes:

Keep in mind that the new Concept Cobra was just that....a Concept. After feedback from the Detroit Auto Show and other clubs etc. Ford is stepping back to round it out more....Talk now is to put the Ford GT engine (Supercharger) in it also, instead of the V10 as many other Ford GT parts will be used on the Cobra................

At least they are listening to the comments they are getting. I'd be amazed if the comments here were not part of the mix they reviewed as information they compiled for their decision process.
Where else could you find this may people with the knowledge available but here ?
|
I also heard they may not use the V10 engine...they may use the engine from the Ford GT. All hearsay at this point.

Cobra
I sat in the car during Press Day at the NY car show. It was so basic and cold feeling in the interior, it could have been designed by a child with a learning disability.
The Mini Cooper is more well though out at 22K

Who says an ant can't move a rubber tree plant?
I have no doubt that this forum provided input into the decision.....especially the fabulous drawings that were presented.

This is a chance to get inputs into the build. Who was it that did all the photshop rendering of this car? HE should send his pics to the design team!

I have no doubt that the emails sent from here to J Mays (any relation to J Geils?) had some input. I forget who who was the original artist on CC that did such FANTASTIC work. Not just an attack on a bad design, but some IMPROVEMENTS!!
Just goes to show the power a few thousand Cobra owners/lovers have in the world...

The person who did a great job of doing a computer-enhanced redesign job was Buzz. I remember the original thread was sent to J. Mays.
Buzz is a Unique owner, and I haven't seen him here or on the Unique forum lately.
Here's the original thread:
