Power Brake Booster in a Shell Valley
Has anyone ever added a power brake booster to a Shell Valley before?
Right now I have 2 master cylinders (Wilwood) with a balance bar. With disk brakes in the front (on Mustang II) and big drums in the rear (on a shorten 9" ford with 3.50). Given how light this car is, it should be easy to stop. But, it is not! Any help would be appreciated! Thanks, "KillerBox@aol.com |
It's not the master cylinders that's the problem....it's the lack of brakes on the wheels....What size are the front rotors? 9" or 11"?

9"
Thanks blykins!
I have 9" rotors on the front. If you think 11" will make it stop better, I will put some on this week. Any ideas on where the best place to buy them are? How about some new calipers? Will I need anything else? Thanks! |
Hey man....
Go to any autoparts store and buy 11" Granada rotors...The thing is, you may need some caliper adapters....I'm not for sure. Shell Valley sells them though. It wouldn't hurt to upgrade the calipers....which ones do you have? And getting rid of the drums on the back will probably help out quite a bit. Shell Valley also sells a rear SVO brake kit for a 9" Ford. 11" rotors on the rear also.... :) |
