OT.....Ford VIN deciphering....OT
Need some help..... It's time to buy a new SUV. Choices are Expedition with the 5.4 or Explorer V8. Who knows where to find some info on deciphering the VIN so I can just look at VINS for models I want.....

Look at the Lincolns, Navigator or Aviator they seem to be selling for less than the Fords???

I'd love a Navigator, but tehy are running 5-10k higher in my area.....

From what I can see, it can be a few different things. It will be the 8th digit of the VIN. The 5.4L will either be an A, L, R or a 3, depending on the model. Looks like they labeled it different for each type of truck. Steve |
