Bill, please don't misunderstand what I said... Hell, I have been in the hole ever since I had my first job.....

Why is the spyder worth more then what you gave for it plus any money you spent on it....

When others here are trying to sell their cars for what they thought was a good deal... you busted there bubbles many times.

And by your own admission ,you are the most knowledgable person on cars... (20 plus years)....

I admire anybody that has the guts to strike out on there own and start their own business... I wish I had the gonads to do it.

Good Luck with your venture... and I do mean that!!!!:)

Turk 05-04-2004 01:24 PM

Bill,
Which is it? Raising money by liquidating toys to start a new business venture, or having to sell some the toys to keep the family in food and shelter?

If any of us thought it was the latter, there would not be the light hearted comments, and there would be nothing but sympathy and wishes for good luck.

Somehow your post came across as a fishing expedition on the value of the vehicles you listed to see if someone would pay you too much without actually posting them for sale.

No one I know would believe that YOU would ask US what they are worth. After all, there is one authority on this forum on the value of vehicles that is almost as accurate as MY OWN professional estimates on the value of automobiles. That person is you Bill.

You are not even a professional but come close being par with some of us who do this for a living.

A professional amateur, or is it the other way around?

Like I said, if the sale is for an emergency you have my apologies.

If it is to raise money so you can order more caps and T-shirts, we didn't hurt nothing just kept your thread close to the top better part of the morning.
Which is what you would want us to do, isn't it?

Otherwise you would have posted them on the "FOR SALE" section, not in here.

...and that is a GOOD thing!

Oh man, with "Family First" I hope that this isn't an emergency. Is your son still doing well post surgically? Like Turk said, it must be serious with your post being on the all talk section. What can we do to help?

mrmustang 05-04-2004 01:59 PM

Turk,

Strictly an amateur, just one who has had enough with the buying and selling...Almost had enough with the cars themselves these days, as the atmosphere in the hobby has changed dramatically. Sure I have my hand immersed in the hobby (not just mustangs & Cobras), and sure, I still try to stay objective....But with the change in the attitudes (and not just here), it's gotten to the point of not being as much fun as it used to. Hence my post on all talk Cobra, for last night and this morning, I truly felt the walls closing in on me, and reached out to my "family" of fellow car enthusiasts.

Dan,

Josh is doing just fine, all restrictions except motorcycle riding and bungie jumping(really) have been lifted.....Now he is just a typical 12/13 year old.....Don't have to sell the cars to put food on the table quite yet, but to build up my account so that I can feed them while the new business has a chance to plant it's roots and grow. I appreciate your comments and your offer of assistance.......

Sincerely,

Bill S.& Family

PS:(edit): Turk, this is not for anything related to Cobrapromotions (a nice business, but not what I need to reach the goals of my wife and I), this is for a completely new venture.

Bill,

You have mail...

I have sold over 50 Harleys in the last twenty years to Build Houses, Businesses, other Harleys, Invitro Fertilization(Successful), Today I want a COBRA and do not want to part with MY GT500 to do it! so I am Buying and selling some Mustangs and whatever else I can to make this dream a reality. A great Business will eventually buy you a New Shelby or Kirkham. So you do without for awhile. Not a bad thing. makes you appreciate your new toy more when it gets here!

mr bruce 05-04-2004 07:16 PM

No offence meant Billy, you axed for opinions, it's just business.Smack it up on E-vil-bay(no reserve),you'll see real quik what it's worth.

Excaliber 05-04-2004 08:16 PM

All though I "consider" the prices of things on e-bay as setting some kind of value for an item,,,,,, I don't consider it seriously!

To many variables on e-bay to use it as a measure of worth. That $1,200 wedding dress which sold for $20K plus recently comes to mind!

I guess the Wedding Dress market is WAY up right now? :D

......I don't think so!

Jamo 05-04-2004 10:41 PM

Bill

Put it on E-Bay and hire Ernie to "shill" (your favorite word) for you. He'll do a good job.:3DSMILE:

Dan Semko 05-05-2004 03:17 AM

hey, hey, hey,
Jamo looked nice in that dress which drove the bid into the stratosphere. Let's have some respect here!;)

mrmustang 05-05-2004 04:23 AM

mr bruce,

Actually, I've been finding I get more for the car(s) off of Ebay these days (go figure).....

Excaliber,

So what are you now doing with that weddning dress.

Jamo,

I prefer to keep my auctions "shill" free.

Dan,

10 point penalty for oversharing this morning. That is one vision I did not need to think about.
