In market for enclosed car trailer, but.......

I am 3-4 weeks from taking delivery of my newly assembled E-M from the Columbus area. I would like to find a trailer manufacturer somewhere near the St. Louis (I am working here for a few months) to Columbus route that could pump out an aluminum enclosed trailer to my specs - does anyone have any suggestions and/or experience. Many, many manufacturers show up in an Internet search but sorting throught them all is a daunting task and I usually rely heavily on word of mouth recommendations.

I do not want a 102" x 20' type of trailer. I really want to price out an enclosed trailer built to accomodate the E-M with an access door next to the driver's side, no taller than a Suburban and only wide enough to allow the Cobra to enter.

Any suggestions will be welcome. - Ron:cool:

mrmustang: Yes, they seem to be more than capable and are located exactly where I need them to be.

Chet: I had aready sent you an email earlier today.

Thanks to both of you.

Enclosed Cobra Trailer

Chet:

Your trailer is great ! Is it commercially available or was the trailer custom manufactured ?

Either way, would appreciate having the vendor info.............thanks

While at the fall AACA meet last year in Hershey PA I discussed a custom sized , for a Cobra , enclosed Trailex trailer with the factory rep, they at that time were not pursuing the concept.

Don,

http://www.xtreme-tr.com/ Talk to Gary or JR

It was custom built, but they had another trailer just like mine on the lot built for another customer.

Ron:

Go with the Xtreme trailer. Great group of guys and they make a fantastic product. I had one made about a month ago, just need to get out there to pick it up. Hopefully this weekend.

Thanks guys for all the input.
The Xtreme does look like the item to have. Resale will undoubtedly be very good also.
Guess I know what to do now. Thanks again.

Ron:

The other trailer that Chet was referencing was probably mine. His white trailer was being made the same time as mine. Mine is black.

For the price, quality, weight and features, you can't find anything close to it.

Bill S. is also correct, Trailex makes a great product, but at $14K, was out of my budget.

Just to let you know, I tow my cobra behind a Volvo XC90 SUV. Tow capacity is 5400 lbs.

Wish you the best in making your choice.
