Unique Homecoming 2004 Pictures
I just got back from the Unique Homecoming in Gadsden. The Weavers put on a real nice event once again, and by my rough calculations over 40 cars showed up and over 90 people. Even though the weather threatened, it was a great turnout with people coming all the way from CT (they drove!!) and TX as well as TN, GA, and the Carolinas etc..... I am sure many of you have pictures, so bring them on. Here are a few of my shots....
All the cars lined up for the group photo before the tour: http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...6group_pic.jpg 18,000 rolling horsepower in the mountains of northern Alabama, at least I think it was still AL... : http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...000hp1-med.jpg A family affair at Dakota Falls during the tour: http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...kotafalls2.jpg |

Hey Kelly ...
Hey Kelly,
Congratulations! I heard you won some kind of award in the Primer Class !:D :D :D :D Looks like a great time! Love that cruise shot on the hills. |
Kelly, I hope you had a good time. I would give a hundred dollars to be in the second picture just cruising up and down the hills.
Hope you and your wife had a great time. Post some pictures so we can all enjoy. Any truth that you won a prize for being different. Heard something about it on CNN. Didn't get the whole story. Mark |

WHY is there tape hiding the cobra sign on the engine pic ???
|
Can you say Carroll and lawyers?
|
I thought when you bought them from lets say
Branda Enzo or cobra restores or any reputable place that they were legit and royalties were paid |
What a great time. I enjoyed meeting everyone and finally putting faces with all these names.
Kanuk, Trust me the last thing I wanted to do is put masking tape all over my motor, but, it was at the Weavers shop and what they say goes. Beautiful cars and great people. FUN FUN FUN Brent |
Ditto to all the above. The 1600 miles to and from Maryland was more than justified and that 120 mile Cobra cruise through the hills of NE Alabama, and meeting some of the greatest people in this hobby was fabulous. I thought my car was nice, but there were some serious stunners there.
On several long straight runs through valleys, we had a panoramic view of Cobras stretched up and down the hills as far as the eye could see......just almost took my breath away!! The Terry Pendleton (Ernie Elliott NASCAR motor) was unbelievable and the Butch Capps cars had levels of detail that would stand up to any replica in the world. BB 427s and Bittentoo's cars are indeed awesome. The Weavers are a CLASS ACT! |
Oh that picture of the red cobra with the webers...........give an old man a real rush
|
Alan Weaver said the tape was the requirement of Ford MoCo, not Shelby. Said people would equate the name "Cobra" with Ford, and Ford could be held laible for anything and everything.
Pretty silly if you ask me, but thats what lawyers are for. |
A real class act..........The Weavers!!
Great people and a great car!! Brent |
Looks like fun
Looks like a lot of fun. I wish I could have been there. But with no top, and no enclosed trailer, it would have been a risky drive from northern Indiana.:)
