Pictures of Cobra's in these colors?
Charcoal (Lincoln Charcoal Frost) A-1786
Silver (1965 Lincoln Silver Mink) A-1784 If you have a picture of a cobra in this color, please either post it or e-mail it to me at cassidyr@charter.net. I'm finally making an effort to narrow down my paint choices and these are two additional ones I'd like to see a picture of before saying yes or no. Thanks All!!! |

Did anyone ever come up with a photo of Lincoln Charcoal Frost?

I was going to use the LCF, did a spray out of it and it had a lot of blues, greys, greens etc it in. Wasn't very clean. I was never able to find a good picture of it on-line.. This is the best I was able to find...
http://www.thelincolnforum.net/phpbb...l+frost#p37386 I ended up with a 2003 Ford Dark Shadow Grey which is a pretty close modern color to it in my opinion. http://www.cassidypics.com/cobra/Pho...g_1114_std.jpg Cheers, |
That is a very nice color. I still need to track down photos of a few "original" era colors though for reference.

Just my .02 worth. Go the extra mile to look over real cars in person to I.D. your favorite color. Pics just don't do it. Especially metallics.

Colors on the screen
Colors on computer monitors are not accurate. Surprisingly enough colors (mostly matallics I think) when seen on the same car in different parts of the world do notalways appear the same.
So if you are making a color selection you feel is critical to you project, try and see a car in the desired color locally. |
Rcassidy,
Why don't you go with a more rare color combo like blue with white racing stripes? So far, 2003 Ford Dark Shadow Grey would get my vote. My friend has a Mineral Grey 2003 Cobra which also looks very nice. Picking the "right" color can be difficult...and I agree that seeing the color in person would be the right path. I really wanted a blue car, but it took me a while to find just the right one. I'm very happy with my choice and I did it by visiting a car dealership. As soon as a I saw it I said....."yup, that's the one"! Good luck with your search and I hope someone here can help you out. |
