Cobras on Power Tour
I headed down to Kalamazoo this afternoon to wander around the fairgrounds and take in this years Hot Rod Power Tour.
Of course Mother Nature was not very cooperative but lots of nice rides showed up. Here's the 3 Cobras I was able to see. The first car is mine, the red Chevelle is my brothers car.
We made the "Long Haul" total of 3850 miles. The rain sucked, I had over an inch of water in the floorpans. But over all we had a great time...I'm hooked, I'll be back next year.... Keith |

Congrats on the long drive. That's what these cars are for. The first year I had mine, I took a 3000+ mile trip, figuring when I got back, either I'd love it or hate it. Best road trip I ever made! If you drill 4 small (3/16" or so) holes in the floor on each side-2 front, 2 back-it will let the water run out so you won't end up with puddles inside the car. I figured that one out after an especially wet trip to the Spring Snake Roundup a few years ago. Lowell |
Lowell, the holes have already been drilled. I did it during the tour. Great minds think a like.......
I was interviewed by HOT ROD TV, in Springfield Il, while I was on the Power Tour. The guy that interviewed me said that it will air on the 16th. The show is about the top ten muscle cars of all time. He also said that it might be shown on the Power Tour show that will air in about three weeks. Look for the good looking guy standing next to an indigo blue SPF with titanium stripes, that'll be me.... Keith |
