Newbie Looking For Friends of Cobra in Los Angeles

Hi everyone,

My name is Payam and after years of thinking and wishing for a Cobra I am finally getting closer to pulling the trigger. I have spent the last few weeks reading as many of the old posts as possible regarding the various manufacturers out there.

Although I would love to have the satisfaction of building my own car, I know my own limitations at this time, work and family obligations, make it difficult to finish the car in a timely fashion. I am still thinking about it, but it's just not as likely at this time.

This brings me to rolling chasis and turn-key cars. I am not going to create a thread that debates the various cars out there(I know better than that), although I would be happy to hear about people's bad experiences and things to look out for.

What I am really looking for are owners in the LA area of different manufacturers who are willing to share a beer and let me sit in their car and tell me about their car. The more the merrier.

Please feel free to post here or e-mail me directly. Thanks for your time.

On Saturday mornings, (7-9 AM), we have about 4 or five replica Cobras, and on a good morning, 3 or 4 originals.
Would be glad to have you come up and sit and talk with us.....although you may have to buy breakfast!!! lol !!!

We meet at the intersection of the 210 and 2 freeways in north Glendale, 10 minutes west of Pasadena.

Easiest way is to find Glendale on a map, then take the 2 freeway north. Get in the right lane after you climb the long hill, and veer towards the 210 East. Just before the 210, you will see the Verdugo BLVD offramp...take that ramp, and we are directly across the intersection/traffic light.

I'll put those details down.

Look out for a pale Aussie who has just left a long cold winter...**)
Will see if I can catch up and have a look there. I'm there in HB during the last week of September, if you are still doing the breaky then..
