Best paint for wheels?

I need to paint the centers of my Trigo wheels. I called PPG paints to see what they recommended. They said use a single stage polyurethane enamel with a flex additive to help prevent chipping? Any thoughts?

I did mine with urethane car-paint-in-a-spray-can. Paid about $6/can and the stuff even smelled like real car paint. Simple prep, degrease, hit them with a Scotchbrite pad, masked off and a couple coats. Turned out great and the paint has held up quite well for almost 3 years now. I would recommend that if your Trigos don't already have them, drill a couple small holes on a few of the wheel spokes so that when you safety wire the spinners you don't have to wrap the wire AROUND the spoke, but through it. That's the only area where I've had a little bit of paint chipping, but short of that a couple good quality spray bombs will do the trick.

Double click (to make them large) on some my recent car pics and you should be able to see what I'm talking about regarding drilling the holes (focus on the front wheel).

Slide a piece of heat shrink tubing on the safety where it will contact the wheel and that will protect it from the scratching.
