Some of us would prefer to have the proper date coded block and heads as opposed to a 'modern' 427 or some other endless variety of wannabe motors.
Like the Shelby 'name' the value is in the 'code' for a motor like this.
If newer, better, stronger, faster, cheaper is the primary criteria why not use a BMW or GM or whatever motor...
