order some 1/4 inch neoprene sheeting from EBAY( look under sound deadener) cut to fit and glue under fenders, works better than any undercoating.

I did the bedliner and the liners in the wheel wells. Of course I do not have it back yet so I cant tell you how they work

Sharp pointed rocks can and will punture the nylon carcas of these tires, go slow.

First impressions were: That they were not as smooth as the radials, which is typical. Steering became razor sharp. Could be different tire pressures. They had the front at 35 psi. Rears were at 30 psi. These pressures seem high? Felt more of vibrations like unbalance tires at certian speeds. Tires felt like the were hard as in too much air pressure. I dropped the front to 30psi and will try that. No noise difference. They are definitely stickier for traction than the BFGs which are pretty hard compound. They do pick up everything on the road, even the sand. I bought them for the look and traction. I didnt expect to have to line my wheel wells with foam, but i will have to before i get any damage. Overall im happy and got the look i wanted. |
Do those new tires have a tread or are they slick? And did you buy them at a local domestic type tire shop or do you have to go through a specialty type shop? Also worth a mention is my Classic Roadster has a secondary fiberglass panel inside the wheelwell. Any type of debris thrown up by the tires would not be in contact with the bottom of the painted surface. I think they look great on your car. John

One more thing I forgot to mention. Tire pressure should probably be more like 25 lbs. In a recent thread someone mentioned 1 pound for every 100lbs of car as a general rule. I run the BFG's at 28 front 25 rear. John
