Looking for GOOD Mechanic in Los Angeles
Hi all,
I am trying to find a mechanic with some experience fixing and maintaining a Cobra replica, BDR, in Los Angeles, preferably in West LA. I am looking to get a car from out of state and would like to find a local shop for any problems that might arise. I have done a search through previous posts and found a 2 year old post for Quality Automotive on Sawtelle. Anyone with any experience with this shop or that can recommend any other shops would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |
I would call Steve at Checkpoint. He works on all kinds of cars including ones from the Peterson Museum.

It was probably my post that you saw. I still use them and the owner Ron Morgan is a friend of mine. You can call him (310) 478-7443 (I think) and tell him Terry referred you and see what you think. Drop into the shop and see the cars he is working on, get a feel for him and the shop before you give him work. Have known him for quite some time and never been sorry, but you have to judge for yourself.

I would suggest Armond in San Diego at www.cacobra.com . He has built and fixed many BDR's and has developed many of the upgrades that the newer BDRs come with. One of the most honest men I have met.

Rwillia4,
I am sure that Armond is great, but he is still a couple of hundered miles from me. Ideally, I would like someone closer that I can get to in a pinch. Payam |
