I will be there as well and this will be my first go around...maybe we can figure a time/place to meet up. Isn't the RM auction at the same time? Anything of note being auctioned?

I believe this will be year 7 for me & mrs. Durt. First three in the Cobra, but used the Audi ever since. After two days in the sun, the Sunday night drive home was just too much in the beast.

I'll be there -- 8th in a row and 9th overall -- but it looks a little thin this year. No Trans Am, no historic F1 (other than pre-1963) and, sadly, no Mac Archer, who was sort of a hero to me. The Indy roadsters will be fun, though (entrants just listed today at www.montereyhistoric.com)
Interestingly, one of the featured lots at the RM was CSX 3181 -- the "beer truck" Cobra -- but its no longer posted on the RM website. |

Just a heads up for those wanting to stay in the corral. Last year the traffic flow directed you to use the Reservation Road entrance to access the area for the corral. This takes you through an area where some of the old buildings are and onto a road that has an EXTREME amount of gravel, it beat the front of my rear fenders and imparted some "Patina" with numerous chips so be forwarned. If you are running BillBoards or a soft compound tires be prepared.
