I am using an MSD-8200, which is oil filled. I just pulled the installation instructions and found the section on mounting orientation. It does look like mine should be mounted vertically. So to eliminate one possibility, I'll either find a way to vertically mount the coil or buy an 8222. Thanks, |

If you have the edelbrock cylinder heads, there is a bolt hole on the front of the driver's side cylinder head- mount the coil bracket to that hole and you will be good to go. |

I have iron CJ heads, but I think there is a bolt hole on the driver's side front. I'll check tonight. Thanks, |
