Nice, New ERA 427 SO on Ebay

Not mine, but I have seen the car. I saw it Tom's Motorsports; Tom was going through it prior to Las Vegas Motor Cars putting it up for sale. Dustin at LVMC is an upstanding guy and knows his stuff. Beautiful specimen for those looking.

That is a nice looking ERA.

Very nice car....

Would someone with more knowledge of the fair market price give us a guess as to what price this car will bring?

PatBuckley 08-03-2007 11:52 PM

I would say $55- 60K.

Ditto what PatBuckley said, $55-60K would be a good price. If a couplea folks want it, it could go higher. I imagine they want $60K.

I called A friend of mine in Fayetteville N.C. who knows Mr. Purvis (the guy that had the car built). I'll let you guys know what his comments are on the condition, quality, etc. At least when it left him.

aren't those plastic?

bcrumpley 08-04-2007 08:16 AM

I'm curious to see what it will bring as I'm considering selling my ERA. I've sold a number of cars on eBay, but it seems that it's not the best place to sell Cobras...

How was the cam installed?

I see on the list of features that the cam (Comp Xtreme 33-250-4) has a described intake center line of 106.5 degrees. That cam has a lobe separation angle of 110 degrees. The feature list also states the crank position as zero. How exactly was the cam installed?

Thanks for the estimates guys...

No matter how much "free" (read do it myself) labor I add into the mix I can't build that car for less than $58K, assuming a no corners cut build. Not being one to really expect every penny back on a replica car its not a problem but I hate to get upside down right out of the gate. So its back to the original plan, build what I want and to hell with the "investment" costs, then will it to my still unborn kids hopefully many miles and smiles from now.

Chappy,

It's not as nice as your car.
