Ready to roll what next

My B&B is complete and ready for the road, what a great feeling! While I am ready to enjoy the car safety is my foremost concern. I have taken the car out on three speperate 2 mile test runs and checked everything over upon return. I had a few fittings that needed tigtening and now see no visible leaks and no abnormal noises noises while driving. What process did you go through to ensure the car was completely road worthy? I need to have the alignment done and will continue to fine tune the coil overs for the correct ride height and handling. Everything is greased, checked lube levels, coolant topped off and engine is cooling propoerly. I still need to work on the brakes a little more to get a firmer pedal. Do you feel the pedal pump method is better or using a "one person" brake bleeder?

What other things should I be aware of? I appreciate this forum as you get advice from real owners of these great machines.

The three no-go items in my book are steering, stopping and fire safety. Most other things won't kill you if they act up. I'd find someplace to safely check the brakes starting from slow speeds and working progressively up to highway speeds. I don't want it to pull either direction, nor do I want the rear brakes to lock before the front brakes. Other than an alignment, the key to safe steering is knowing that all the connections are properly torqued and secured. That includes everything from the steering wheel through the wheel nuts to the tire pressure. Fire safety is mostly about routing and securing fuel system components and electrical wires that are not protected by fuses/CBs (e.g., main positive battery cable). ... Good luck.

Dean Lampe is completing his RCR GT 40 and he has place the same 9" end and re-torque everything and after he finished he would put a dab of PINK (of all colors) on each nut and bolt he checked so he would know everything had been looked at and checked.
Brakes: Are you using the cast iron Master Cylinder that came on your kit? If so you will at some point want to upgrade your brakes from the 9" rotors and GM calipers to a bigger system if you ever want to put your car on track and turn some serious times. For street driving they are great.

Bleeding method: I like the pressure bleeder or mini-vac system first and then do a two person pump and bleed before you finish up. Be sure you first bench bled your master cylinder.
