Help with Battery Brain connection

I purchase a battery brain type III (remote anti theft disconnect), since there is no room to connect this module in the battery enclosure in the trunk, I deciced to connect it right at the firewall near the connection of the starter, I was able to start the car fine but not able to disable the battery by using the remote control

While I press the remote control I hear a click at the module and the battry still connect

Any folks has hooked-up this successfully, please share some advice

I plan to call customer service tommorrow

Thanks
Tan

Tan,

If I remember correctly, the side of the Battery Brain that says "Batt 12v+" would normally be connected directly to the positive terminal of the battery, and then the positive battery cable would be connected to the other side of the Battery Brain.

I can't quite make out from the picture how yours is wired, but I think it may be backwards. To make it work (I think) you should attach the positive cable coming directly from the battery to the "Batt 12v+" side of the Battery Brain, and then attach the other side of the Battery Brain to the stud on the starter solenoid. However, I know on my car, there would be some clearance issues if I tried to mount it where you are.

I am not familiar with the SPF battery trunk mount, but is there not some room on the side of the battery or on top?

Thanks Rick

Yes, I did have the battery brain hooked backward, I fixed and now I can enable and disable the battery by remote, I talked to the tech this morning and he told me the black wire must be install for "remote anti theft disconnect" but I still can not get it to work, he will need to check and get back to me

The question I have for the black wire refer to "disable connection / engine on wire installation"
