Almost knockoffs???

Saw these on eBay and thought it was a bit more creative than traditional hubcaps...

I havn't seen a set quite like them before.

Those look like a wheel cover that Butler use to make for their cars.??????

strictlypersonl 09-01-2007 04:12 PM

Those look suspiciously like a very early set of ERA 'caps. *But I've never seen the Butler pieces.

KCC in South Africa used to make some fibreglass ones, looked pretty much the same!

I think Hurricane uses these as well.

I can't see how they would look good on a 427 Cobra without the deep dish in the rear.

These were typically used in an Appliance brand deep polished aluminum wheel with a flat outer drop section of about 4-5 inches. Normally the center background of the wheel was painted black and the center spud intalled then the gray Plastic imitation spoke portion and then the tri-bar centerlock. They actually look pretty good if done right.

The front ERA 'cap. The rear sits well into a 8.5" dish.

Is there a better quality photo?

This one is kind of like when they are trying to make an old actress look good by blurring her face.

I found another picture in our archives. The stuff that I do for you guys. :o
FYI: These are no longer available from ERA.

I think you will agree they were a nice option for those on a "Budget". They do look pretty good.

Hurricane uses ones like that (or similar) for those who opt for them. I'll try to find a photo of one later and post it.
