Whats legal in California? When building the engine for my Cobra, most of the components had stickers on them that said they were not legal for use in C.A. What do car builders in C.A. use for engines in their builds? Is it possible to register and drive a car in C.A. that was built elsewhere and is already plated and registered in another state? How do these"C.A.R.B." laws apply to Cobras from other states, with non-C.A. approved equiptment. HELP !!! Thanks, freekintoad |

Those sticker simply mean that if you install them on a car that is subject to our smog testing rules, they will not comply. Putting them on older cars or those with SB100 exemptions is ok. |

SB100 exemptions? can anyone explain these to me. Are Cobra replicars concidered old with a late model build date from the Manufacturer? |

Registerng Cobra replicas in CA has been discussed ad nauseum on this forum. Set aside several hours and do a search on 'SB100' and SB-100'. also look at threads by Robert Morgester. |

freekintoad Are you moving to California? BTW...there's a supersecret rule that unless and until you hit 100 posts, you are only allowed one question per day. ;) |
