TREMEC Transmission - TKO 500 or TKO 600
I am ready to hook-up a transmission ( TKO 500 or a 600) to my Ford 460 SVO, but I have one question?
How do I determine whether I use a short input shaft or a long input shaft? Your help will be appreciated, thanks. Jeri |
JimiG can set you up.
I have a 600 and he set me up with the right everything. And the price was good to boot. :D :D |
You will need the short shaft or the spacer from Mcleod with the 460

Jeri,
I'll second the motion on talking to Jimmi Guthrie @ Standard Trans. I have 2 of the TKO 600's, and I am real pleased with them. He keeps the shortened shaft style in stock, and ready to go. One of the people at Spf told me not to use the spacer plate, or I might have to get the drive shaft shortened. I think you always need the shortened style w/ the blowproof bellhousing. |
Thanks for the info, guys. I think the news on the new Quick Time Bell answered all my questions.
