Oil Temp
I got stuck in some traffic yesterday and Oil Temp went to just a tad over 100 C. The water was at 85 C.
Was the oil with in safe range?

100c = 212F. That's reasonable given your water temp of 85c = 185F. Most oil temps will run 15-20% above water temps. The problem is that if you are reading 212F at the sensor, the bearing temps are a LOT hotter. That's where you want to cool things down and I'm experimenting with oils right now to figure that out.
