Kaneohe Blue Angels
It was great to find two cobras and a GT 40 at the Marine base in Kaneohe and finally meet Flip(HICOBRA).Turns out he lives only blocks away,small world.I forgot to offer my assistance on anything you needed help with.Just drive by and i'll come running out.:LOL: P.S. The show was really cool ,seeing the Blue Angels with the Ko'olau's in the back ground . Breathtaking!

It was nice meeting you too. Not only did the Blue Angels put on a great show, the other aerobatic planes were excellent and watching the Red Bull helicopter doing loops and barrel roles was something to behold. Al took the trophy in our class and I managed to get runner-up - a nice surprize for both of us. "Coolest car "1949 to 1979" |

It's like, "OK, we know who gets first, the real question is, who got second?" :LOL: Mitch called from the Air Show, said he ran into you guys. pmfranke, is your car on Island? I haven't seen that one yet! Showed my Cobra to a prospective buyer on Saturday, went for a little drive. MAN are these cool cars, it ran like a top! I wouldn't budge from my asking price and was careful to point out every possible defect. He's looking at another one on Maui before he decide's (thats OK with me). :D |
My car is sleeping in Truckee.:p If i wake it I know it will want to come to the island and tear up the H3. I did'nt bring it because I have no top for the car and no garage here in Kailua:CRY: . Ernie will you build another cobra if you sell?:eek:

I'm not sure what I will do in the future. I'll have the Austin Healey 3000 around for some time to play with (and I get paid to do that). :D
I'm all ready planning on what needs to be done to the ERA if I keep it long term, and I might! Soft Top is high on the list, the sun is brutal here. New carpet, some chrome here and there to brighten up the engine bay. Little stuff that makes such a big difference. |
So ,does the "thinking of selling " thing have anything to do with no track? It would be such a drag to loose your voice in the Cobra community.I'd like to here you views on the track problem .Are you going to be at the Shelby and Mustang show at U.S. vet center in Kalaeloa on 11-11? I'l be there with HMMC (Mini's).Hope to see/meet you. Peter.

Well theres no question the closing of the track is a factor in considering the sale of the car, in fact I would say thats the 'catalyst'.
Vet Center show? Sure why not, I don't get out as often as I should to the various shows. I have a hunch even without a car I'll still be around as the 'resident expert' on just about everything, or at least an opinion on everything. :LOL: |
