Is it real?

I was looking on eBay and saw item #250182911759 a Shelby Cobra with lots of history for sale for a half mil, is this a real one or a real expensive dreamer?

You didn't see an ad for a "Shelby Cobra"...but it is real...a real AC Cobra.

The car is COB6127, built by AC Cars at the same time as the Shelby Cobras were being built in the USA.

Claimed as the last chassis built by AC...why not seek a half a mil? It may get a taker or two. Typically the COB/COX cars have good value, but below the corresponding CSX cars. ...that may be changing. ;)

Ron: why would the fact that corresponding ACs normally draw less money then corresponding Shelbys CSX cars be changing?????

It seems CSX cars have always drawn more $$$ due to the SAI and CS connection which is at the heart of Cobra legend.

Hey Joey, pass the popcorn...................I'll get the beer.

bnewell 11-12-2007 05:57 PM

Get me a beer Terry......no, make that a Bacardi & Diet Pepsi.

And while you are at it, make it a double;)

RodKnock 11-12-2007 06:03 PM

Ruh-Roh. Hey, maybe we could squeeze in a quick comparison of the COB/COX versus the Kirkham replicas? No, huh?

bnewell 11-12-2007 06:06 PM

Wait a minute......Shelby uses Kirkham bodies.............................Terry, make that a triple!!!

RedBarchetta 11-12-2007 06:43 PM

For purely religious reasons, I refuse to read or post to this thread. :D

TerrysSPF 11-12-2007 06:53 PM

Brian- Hey bud, I'm sorry to say that I'm out of Bacardi. I could do Appleton or Cruzan though. .....Or maybe we should just break out the Jack for this one? -I've got a brand new bottle waiting to break the seal!

TerrysSPF 11-12-2007 07:06 PM

OK.......who thinks the COB/COX cars will be welcome in the new Team Shelby Auto Club?

-See what you started Ron. Alright, alright, I noticed the smiley face at the end of your post, but tell me the truth..................did you say that just to see if you would get a response from Evan?

Merely a comment on the collector market, outside the old-guard Cobra community, recognizing the inherent, understated value of the AC Cobras...and paying prices with closer parity to the CSX cars... i.e., the real CSX cars.
