Tring to reg my hurricane in the WPB area and managed to get through most of the confusion except for the car total weight. On the mso it states frame and body weight at 1500 but the office I went to said they need the total car weight
How did others out there do it? It also seems depending on the office you go to you will get a totally different set of answers I'm excited to get the car on the road so any insite may help thanks Bobby |
Bobby, if you find a local moving or trucking company they should have a drive on scale that you can get a weight from. Around here I think they charge about $25, or thats what it use to be. Don't forget to get out....hee-hee while its being weighed. As far as the office disparity you are correct, however it is even within offices where there are a lot of employees, you can get two or three different answers.
Good luck. |
They used the 1500 lbs on mine in Nassau cty. Had to get a regular plate also, they said that the new "custom" plates are only for cars sold "complete" including motor from the manufacturer. It is registered as a 2007 Hurricane.
Oh well, at least I can get my vanity plate now, "hold onn" |
