Broken Cobra

I had a little misshap in my Cobra. I accelerated a little too quick in a turn spun it and hit a curb with the front end. It busted up the chin area and put cracks across both front fenders from the folding down of the front end. I bought the Cobra used about three years ago, and cannot find out who the maker is. What do I need to know if I want to use a body from a different mfg.

Or, do I look for someone to repair it. I picked up almost all the pieces but there are some small ones missing. Does anyone know of a good fiberglass person in the Memphis, TN area? I am sick about it and would not want it to come out looking repaired.

It would probably end up being cheaper to have it repaired. Talk to the corvette shops in your area for a body man recommendation.

I agree, fiberglass is not that difficult to repair. I would go that route. Good luck with your repair. Jim

Bill, I was parked next to a guy with a beautiful Midstates at a car show a couple of years ago. He told me of how he left the road and side-swiped a tree a year or so before that. He said it destroyed a significant amount of the body, so he took it to a local body shop that specialized in fiberglass. The repair was flawless and the finish nothing short of show quality. If you find the right guy, I'm sure it will be better than new.
