Check craigslist, playing around the other day and found one here in Atlanta.

Craiglist, Craiglist, Craiglist. Check other cities and be ready to travel, or have friends in other towns check them out.

I agree. Frequently, there are unfinished kits that show up on Craiglist in the SF Bay Area.

i have up to 15k to play with.. i would buy a new kit but i don't want to wait. besides i am a bargain shopper and i feel i will get a better deal buying someones project.
I agree but with these cars the old saying "you get what you pay for" really holds true. There are plenty of Cobra kits out there that can be bought. The only problem is when you need parts or unique pieces that are true to only that manufacture. If there gone or out of business, you had better get some Goody's because its tough to get others parts to work. It's very rare that you see a "no name kit" get finished because there is NO support group to help. My ERA build is tough enough and if Bob or Peter were not there, it would be next to impossible! I like Factory Five's and they have a fantastic following and there cheaper than most. You have to set aside too what you really want: motor stuff/ rear end/ trans./ wheels and tires. Those six items can cost all of the 15 Grand your talking of. Good luck with the search. Matt
