Car Cover

There was a thread a short time ago that covered this very question but it doesn't appear to be on this server.

For Christmas my son has offered to get me a good car cover for the cobra. We have a Cal Car Cover for my wife's Shelby and I might consider this for the cobra as well but I'm looking for other suggestions that people have been happy with.

Griots Garage with a lifetime warranty.

I'm on my third one, only paid once! :D

Try finish line, I bought a cover from them for 125.00, you cant beat that. The under side is very soft as well.

Hey, wait a minute, I paid over $300 for mine. Are you saying I could'a BOUGHT three and still be at the same price by now?

Darn, can't wait for the third one to go bad so I can get #4 and break even... :D

Got a Weathershield from Cal Covers that works really well and it folds up small enough to stow behind the driver's seat when not in use. A little spendy but worth it.

No one beats the quality of a "HUGGER" I have one that has the matching Viper blue with white stripe.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll pass these on to my son and see which one he gets me. ;)

:)

Maybe as a hint you could highlight the one that you like best. All are good as I have had them except the Hugger.

I was thinking of putting them in the order that I'd like them with the first choice on top. That way it would take extra effort to get to the ones that I'm not as interested in. ;)

Does any one know of a waterproof cover to carry with in case of rain..I am comtemplating doing the Hot Rod Power Tour and don't want to take a chance in case of rain. It would be handy at the London show also....last year I trailered the car and put it in the trailer at night.

I have one for my SPF from California Car Cover. I got one that is made out of a T-shirt type material. It's just to keep the dust off it while in the garage. But, they make all weather covers too. They fit like a glove, and are great quality. I also have a black one for my black '03 Cobra.

Here is my SPF....

Here is a link. There are a bunch of types available. You can also select if it's a 289 Cobra, 427 Cobra.. and with or without roll bar.

my only concern is putting scratches on the car. Whats the softest material you can buy, and where?

If you check the Hugger website you'll see they are known for custom fits. I will try to post a image soon.

Wolff and Covercraft are two manufacturers. Check out their sites and save some $$ over Cal Car Cover. Cal Car Cover SELLS Wolff and Covercraft covers, and tacks on a $30 - $50 markup. CCC is not a manufacturer. I bought a CCC cover for my Unique and it was a Wolff. I am now ordering a Noah fabric cover from Covercraft. RD
