I have a problem
It would appear that FedEX has "lost" my collector pipes for my Contemporary Cobra (427 FE) on the return from Jet-Hot. :eek: Can anyone reccomend a suppplier for new headers and side pipe/collector?

Generally, you can only obtain headers from who ever made your brand of car.

I just ordered a set from Cobra Restorers for my Contemporary. They're $395 for Contemporary 427 headers, they also have the sidepipes. I don't know the price. The headers are on backorder, may take up to 3 weeks., I'm guessing they build upon order. Hope this helps.

David, Sorry to hear about your lost collector pipes. That crap is why I won't order anything from any company that will only ship FedEx. I think I have had 3 or 4 things I have ordered that were shipped via FedEx and I finally got one of them because they had left it with a neighbor that lives about a block down the street from me. I have tried to call them and contact them via the Internet and they will not respond to anything it seems. If your collector pipes came with the kit from Contemporary you should be able to order a set from them and that way you will know they will fit. Good luck and I hope that you get them soon. Ron :) |
Contemporary Cobra
Contemporary has been out of business for some time so getting headers, or anything else is out of the question. Thanks for the other leads. i will check them out. FedEx sucks. Consistently sucks. :mad:
