Summer Run 08, Lake George NY
It is on!!!! July 11, 12 & 13
I wanted to get the word out so everyone can start making plans. Just a great time hanging with the best cars ever to hit the pavement. This is not a car show, it's a run. I guess this is as close as its gonna get for me. Im 3 hours NW but its gotta be a nice ride thru Lake Placid and Keene Valley in the Cobra..

God willing the car will be done and I'll be there. I have a wedding to go to in Burlington, VT the 11th, but my plan all along was to bring the Cobra there. A mere stones throw to Lake George.

My only concern is that i dont have a spare tire. What do you guys do for a spare when you dont have a support vehicle with you?

I have been wanting to go to this event for the past couple of years but never made it and I won't be able to make this year either. I will be racing my boat in the Mayor's Cup Regatta that weekend.

Anyone arriving Thursday I will be on the back patio bar at the hotel around 5-6 oclock, and will head up a group for a bite to eat and maybe even a few cocktails in town... Greg Don't forget the Fireworks Thursday night!!! |

This is the 6th year. My wife & I have made every one. This year I'll be solo (she's working) but I'll be there Saturday.
Jerry, if it's like past years we leave the hotel about 9:30 and cruise up through the mountains and along the lake. We stop in Ticonderoga to strech our legs then back to Lake George. There is a lunch at the hotel at about 1:00 then the afternoon is free time. that evening groups will get together for a meal and what ever. Often a bunch go gocart racing at a nearby arcaid. If you are coming for the day get there early so you don't miss the cruise. Harvey |
