This is actually bad news for our area as we will lose our Champ Car race for this year after many years in Portland.

How much did splitting up the cars in the first place hurt their business?
Are their business's hurting, forcing them to merge?

The split nearly destroyed everything for both sides. Lately the TV ratings for open wheel racing are virtually the same as water polo. Even the ratings for the Indy 500 are in the tank.

I for one will not support a series that George Runs
We used to watch all the Champ Car Races in the Pacific Northwest...it might have peaked as a series in the late 90's when the current FI World Champ came over and won the title...and then George broke it up and those B#@# Penske and Andretti and Rayhal etc dumped their stock (insider trading ? ) and sold out the fans....for Honda and Toyota 's money because they wanted to win the fricking Indy 500 ...never say never in life, but I can't imagine ever going to another race....ps....Portland was one of the best..
