All this talk about trailers and stuff, and not to hijack Sal's thread but anyone have a good recommendation for an electronic brake controller? Since I sold my Super Duty, I only have my Wife's expedition for a tow vehicle. It doesn't have a good brake controller and I'll be pulling a 20' open trailer from Oklahoma city to Erie PA so I want to add a brake controller. I was thinking maybe the prodigy proportional? Any suggestions?

I have the Prodigy in our 2500 HD and it works well.

Go look at the 24' that CobraDan posted. We have two 24' foot enclosed Featherlites in our family. They seem big at first, but throw in a toolbox, a few spare tires etc. and they don't seem so big. Like a garage, it will seem too small after a while.

They always seem to come in handy. This summer I moved from one house in town to another and used one of the trailers. I never had to hire a moving company.

There is a similar thread over on ffcobra right now, almost unanimous recomendation is the Tekonsha Prodigy. The only reason I am not running one is my 06 F250 has the integrated brake controller. I keep a Prodigy in the glove box just in case the integrated one ever flips out.
