Quick Question on Wheels
I just recently had my wheels taken off, the rims cleaned up and the centers coated black. I was stupid for not being specific with the folks at the wheel shop and when I got them back I noticed that the entire inner wheel (not the polished rim) was coated..this includes the center area wheel the spinner will mate up to the wheel when I knock it on.
Question....do you guys think I need to clean off all the paint from the hub section before I put the wheels back on? Kramer |
Yes, the coating should be removed on the cone where the wing nut rides.
I hope they didn't coat the backside too... |
Thanks Bob..two additional questions:
1) should I clean up the area around the cone on the front too? 2) The back side is coated a little bid as well...look like overspray...if that is the case, should I clean that up too...and should I check the pins holes? Kramer |
