check it out - NEW Iconic Motors GTR / Cobra look alike?
Has anyone seen the new GTR built by Iconic Motors LLC. ?
As stated, their new GTR Roadster vaguely resembles a Shelby Cobra. Which it does but kinda modernized. They hope to sell 100 of these for about $600,000. Made of carbon fiber, polysilicate and honeycomb aluminum chassis, weighs in at 2,200 lbs, with a 420 cubic inch V-8 producing 800 hp. Take a look, if this link does not work, search it on the net under www.iconicmotors.com or just search for Iconic Motors GTR. Perhaps someone better then I can post the link or some pictures for all to enjoy and comment on. Jim www.iconicmotors.com |

An interesting product, but a few comments:
1. "Prod. limited to 100"---parts availability later??? 2. "Iconoic designed 6.0 aluminum V8"----parts? I would hope they took somebody elses aluminum V8 & 'designed' their own specs. 3. The straight shot of the front looks goofy to me 4. Love the interior 5. Like the look of the rear of the car 6. Love to see the suspension up close and on the road 7. 200+ in an open roadster? See it to believe it! 8. Still...interesting. 9. Not worried about weight with an 8 lb. (!) gas cap. Too dainty to touch it with your own hands????????? |
Dang, Cobra Dan, old news again, I thought this time I had the scoop on something new, oh well, try...try...and try again.

I agree, . . . lose the chinstrap spoiler, it ruins the front. I love the interior too.

The Escalade of replicas?
_____ bs |
That staight shot of the front -- The head lights look like the eyes of a blood hound. Kinda droopy and sad.
Let's see I would be happier with a Kirkham. I think KC advertised a turn key at $100K. Invest the other $500K and buy a new Kirkham every other year or so and never touch the principle. It amazes me how some people can get rich doing lame stupid things, and I'm still poor. I have to assume there is a large pool of wealthy stupid people to keep things floating along. :D |
Hey it's got a perky butt.

Allan Lubinsky currently owns the AC name, or whats left of it. It has surely been tarnished along the way. Why these guys building this car would want to partner with "Al" is beyond me. Last I heard of Lubinsky he had fled Maltese without paying his suppliers or the Maltese government when he last "Cobra" project failed.
Maybe these "newbies" can pull it off though, don't hold your breath... |
The thread is over two years old.

See, I told you not to hold your breath!! :)
