Transmission tunnel mods
Has anyone done any modifications to the transmission tunnel to get more leg room??? I have a contemporary Cobra with a 427 and it looks like 6" or so could be gained by cutting the tunnel out and reglassing it so it is closer to the tunnel. :D Any help would be appreciated.

You can cut your tunnel and reglass it but make sure it isn't touching the transmission. Another way to achieve more leg room is a dropped foot box I am not sure if Contemporary Cobra's came with them. If it doesn't give Brian a call at Lone Star Classics they use them in their kits, you might have to modify them some to make them work. I can't remember their toll free but the local number is 817-439-5721 tell him Jimi Guthrie told you to call and he will take good care of you.
