Roll Bar info

I need the experts option on the height I should install my roll bar? The measurement I am looking for is top of body to top of roll bar please.

To just over the top of your windshield, and make sure it is extends over the top of your head seated in the car (with helmet if you intend to track it at all).

If you plan on doing any track-work, you best do some research as to the requirements for roll bars for each group you plan to run with...I know a minimum diameter vs car weight rule usually exists, forward brace requirements (it can be removable), min. width between legs of a single hoop requirements, a hole is also usually required in the main bar for thickness verification, height above your helmet, the list goes on...easier to do now than retrofitting later...you know..."research twice, chrome once"...

As pointed out already depends a lot on use and conformance. Street car use I think 14" high looks good.

SCCA 2008 is min 2" above the driver's helmet for an open vehicle and has been for several years.
Most Cobras don't meet this as you can see from my photo above.
