flat black stripes ?
 
im looking to paint two flat black stripes on my cobra. it already has gloss black stripes on it that im using for the template my question is what kind of paint should i use ? i was looking at using trim black.any thoughts?

My car is black and I had black stripes painted on the car, the painter cut the flat black paint with 50% gloss black as the flat black paint would be too rough for maintenance etc., you may want to consider this on what you are doing on your car, obviously you can make the percentages different to get the effect that you want, to go with the straight flat black paint would be somewhat impractical.

If it were mine, I would mask off the body paint around the stripes and wet sand the gloss black stripes carefully with 2000 or finer wet sand paper. Now your gloss black stripes are flat and no cost of painting, Just my 2 cents. Good luck, Jim

I was planning to do a matte black stripe. Color matched to the hoods on some Mach 1's
