Tonneau cover
Guys,
I avoided getting a tonneau cover when I got my car because I remember the old days of torn vinyl/fabric, ripped out snaps, etc. Now I want one. Is there anything to look for with an installer? I assume a good auto upholstery shop can do the work. But is there one kind of vinyl or fabric to use, a certain brand of snaps? Any of you that have had good luck with yours, please let me know. Also, does anyone have a zipper down the middle so you can have only the driver's side open and the passenger side still covered? SkipB |
The new style from Backdraft is nice. It is thick and padded. Has the zipper down the middle and is designed for your car. Comes with the hardware as well:

If you would like to avoid drilling holes and inserting fasteners. Try the snapless cover. I bought one last year and saved me a lot of headaches.

Everfex vinyl,tenex fasteners (not lift a dots which lead to torn out male pegs),zipper down middle works fine. You will have some flapping at speed with 1/2 zipped ..can leave abrasions on paint, but makes it cozy on cold days.
