I have the 3M stuff on my SPF and love it. Spend the bucks and have a professional do the job right.

You might want to take a look at this stuff.

http://armorcoat.armorauto.com/

I know a couple guys that had it applied to their Dodge SRT/10 pickups and loved it.

Thumbs up Paint Protection System .... ArmorAuto!!

Hammer, I had the ArmorAuto system installed on my SPF several months ago. I had the 3M film on, and was very disappointed in it. It had way to many cuts. I purchased a pre cut 3M kit and had a 3M distributor do the install. I worked Ok but the edges started to weaken and edge peel, kid of hard to describe. I had it removed and all of the rock chips repaired as well as the holes that were drilled in the fenders for that worthless mirror. I now use a raydot mirror!!! I have added several images in my gallery so you can see how far up the hood area I had ArmorAuto installed. Depending on what your local body shop would charge to do the install the product was only $150 compared to $265 for the 3M film only. I also contacted them several time to talk to them, they also contacted my painter to insure he knew how to handle the install. So far so good. I actually like the look. It feels like the film but no cuts and piecing together around curves and valleys.

+1

There was a really good rundown on Dream Car Garage last year about this stuff. Used it on a road race car that used to use up a paint job per race. After the ArmorCoat the car ran a bunch of races and came back looking nearly new. Pretty impressive stuff and it has no edges where the protection ends like the films.
